Advertising Policy
All advertising material is subject to approval by the Board of Directors of Northeastern Colorado Transportation Authority (NECTA) and must, to the fullest extent possible, enhance the environment of County Express transit vehicles as well as County Express's standing in the community.
In determining whether to accept advertising, County Express will give consideration to the social, moral, and political views of the audience that can be expected to be exposed to the advertising. In this respect, County Express will not accept any advertising that is unlawful, immoral, or offensive to good taste.
Unacceptable Advertisements
Examples of advertising material that will be refused under this policy include, but are not limited to the following:
- Advertising that when taken as a whole, and applying contemporary community standards, is offensive to the average person
- Advertising that depicts or describes sexual conduct in an offensive way.
- Advertising of contraceptive products or hygiene products of an intimately personal nature;
- Advertising containing foul language;
- Advertising of tobacco or alcoholic beverage products
- Advertising for political candidates, levies, bond issues, or any other political issue to be placed on or is on the ballot.
Not withstanding any provision in this policy to the contrary, NECTA reserves the right to refuse, or order removed from County Express transit vehicles, any advertising that in NECTA'S absolute discretion is unlawful, offensive, or indecent.
